Henry Hazlitt
Henry Hazlitt (1894–1993) was an American journalist, literary critic, and economist associated with classical liberal ideas. He wrote for major publications including *The Wall Street Journal* and *Newsweek*, and became widely known for his clear popular writing on economics. His best-known book, *Economics in One Lesson* (1946), argued that sound economic analysis must consider the long-term effects of policies on all groups, not just the immediate results for a few. Hazlitt also wrote on philosophy and public policy and was a prominent critic of Keynesian economics. He served as a vice president of the Foundation for Economic Education.
