Holly Black

Holly Black (born 1971) is an American fantasy author known for writing stories that blend modern life with faerie folklore. She is best known as the co-creator, with illustrator Tony DiTerlizzi, of *The Spiderwick Chronicles*, a bestselling children’s fantasy series. Black is also the author of *The Folk of the Air* series, which includes *The Cruel Prince* and helped establish her as a leading voice in young adult fantasy.
