Ice Cube

Ice Cube (O’Shea Jackson Sr., born June 15, 1969) is an American rapper, songwriter, and actor from Los Angeles, California. He rose to prominence in the late 1980s as a member of the pioneering rap group N.W.A, contributing as a writer and performer. After leaving the group, he launched a successful solo career, beginning with the album *AmeriKKKa’s Most Wanted* (1990). Ice Cube later became a prominent film actor and screen presence, appearing in movies such as *Boyz n the Hood* (1991) and *Friday* (1995), and he has also worked as a producer and writer on film projects.
