Jack Dorsey

Jack Dorsey (born 1976) is an American technology entrepreneur best known as a co-founder of Twitter (now X) and Square (now Block). He served as Twitter’s CEO twice, first during its early years and later from 2015 until 2021, and he has also led Square/Block as CEO. Raised in St. Louis, Missouri, Dorsey studied at the University of Missouri–Rolla and later New York University, leaving before graduating. Though not primarily a literary author, he is widely quoted for public statements on technology, free expression, and product design, and he has shared brief reflections through posts, interviews, and talks.
