Jackie Mason

Jackie Mason was born Yacov Moshe Maza in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, and grew up on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, New York City. He was ordained a rabbi after graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree from City College of New York, but he eventually decided to become comedian. Mason appeared several times on The Ed Sullivan Show during the 1960s and went on to star in several one-man comedy stage shows, including the popular Broadway show The World According to Me. Mason has guest-starred on several episodes of The Simpsons, winning an Emmy for his voice-over work in a 1992 episode. Mason continues to work in TV and film.
