Jane Wagner

Jane Wagner (born 1935) is an American writer, director, and producer best known for her long-running creative partnership with comedian and actor Lily Tomlin. She wrote *The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe*, a one-woman stage show performed by Tomlin, and has collaborated with her on multiple projects across theatre and film. Wagner’s work is noted for character-driven comedy and social observation, often delivered through sharply drawn monologues and sketches.
