Janine di Giovanni

Janine di Giovanni is an American journalist and war correspondent known for reporting from conflict zones including Bosnia, Syria, and Iraq. Over her career she has covered wars and humanitarian crises for major international publications, focusing on the experiences of civilians caught in violence. She is the author of *The Morning They Came for Us*, a book drawn from her reporting on the Syrian conflict, and *The Vanishing*, which examines the persecution and displacement of Christian communities in the Middle East.
