Jay Bradner

Jay Bradner is an American physician-scientist and cancer researcher recognized for work in epigenetics and for helping advance BET bromodomain inhibitors as potential cancer therapeutics. He trained in medicine and pursued laboratory research focused on chromatin regulation and drug discovery. Bradner served as an investigator at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, where his group studied small-molecule approaches to target transcriptional control in malignancy. He later became President of the Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR), leading efforts to translate basic science into new medicines.
