Jerry Seinfeld

Jerry Seinfeld was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1954. He developed an interest in standup comedy in college and an open-mic night performance led to an appearance in a Rodney Dangerfield HBO special. In 1979, Seinfeld had a small recurring role on the TV series Benson, and he soon started appearing regularly on The Tonight Show and other shows. Seinfeld, the TV series Seinfeld co-created with Larry David, debuted in 1989. By its fourth season, Seinfeld had become the most popular show on TV. Since Seinfeld ended in 1998, Seinfeld has returned to stand-up comedy and has made various TV and movie appearances.
