Jimi Hendrix

James Marshall “Jimi” Hendrix (1942–1970) was an American guitarist, singer, and songwriter widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in rock music. Born in Seattle, he rose to international prominence in the late 1960s after forming the Jimi Hendrix Experience, known for innovative studio techniques and a groundbreaking approach to electric guitar tone and improvisation. His landmark recordings include *Are You Experienced* (1967), *Axis: Bold as Love* (1967), and *Electric Ladyland* (1968). Hendrix’s performances at major festivals, including Woodstock in 1969, became defining cultural moments. He died in London at age 27.
