Joe Abercrombie

Joe Abercrombie (born 1974) is an English fantasy author best known for *The First Law* series and related novels. He debuted with *The Blade Itself* (2006), followed by *Before They Are Hanged* (2007) and *Last Argument of Kings* (2008). He later expanded the same world with stand-alone novels including *Best Served Cold* (2009), *The Heroes* (2011), and *Red Country* (2012), and with the *Age of Madness* trilogy: *A Little Hatred* (2019), *The Trouble with Peace* (2020), and *The Wisdom of Crowds* (2021). His work is noted for gritty realism, dark humor, and morally complex characters.
