Jonathan Haidt

Jonathan Haidt (born 1963) is an American social psychologist whose research focuses on moral psychology and the social and emotional foundations of political life. He has been a professor at New York University’s Stern School of Business and is a co-founder of Heterodox Academy, an organization that promotes viewpoint diversity in higher education. Haidt is widely known for applying psychological research to contemporary cultural and political debates. His books include *The Righteous Mind: Why Good People Are Divided by Politics and Religion* (2012) and, with Greg Lukianoff, *The Coddling of the American Mind* (2018), which examines trends in campus culture and their broader effects.
