Joss Whedon

Joss Whedon (born Joseph Hill Whedon, June 23, 1964) is an American screenwriter, director, and producer. He created the television series *Buffy the Vampire Slayer* (1997–2003) and *Firefly* (2002), and co-wrote the film *Buffy the Vampire Slayer* (1992). Whedon wrote and directed Marvel Studios’ *The Avengers* (2012) and *Avengers: Age of Ultron* (2015). He also created the series *Angel* (1999–2004) and *Dollhouse* (2009–2010), and wrote and directed the film adaptation of Shakespeare’s *Much Ado About Nothing* (2012).
