Judy Garland

Judy Garland (1922–1969) was an American singer and actress whose career began in childhood and became closely associated with MGM musicals. She is best known for portraying Dorothy Gale in the 1939 film adaptation of L. Frank Baum’s *The Wizard of Oz*, including the performance of “Over the Rainbow.” Garland also starred in films such as *Meet Me in St. Louis* (1944), *Easter Parade* (1948), and *A Star Is Born* (1954).
