Julia Roberts

Julia Roberts (born October 28, 1967) is an American film actress and producer. She rose to international prominence with roles in films such as *Pretty Woman* (1990), *My Best Friend’s Wedding* (1997), and *Notting Hill* (1999). Roberts won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance in *Erin Brockovich* (2000). She has also appeared in *Ocean’s Eleven* (2001) and *August: Osage County* (2013). In addition to acting, she has worked as a producer. Although widely quoted in popular culture, Roberts is not primarily known as a literary author.
