Keith Richards

Keith Richards (born 1943) is an English musician, songwriter, and author, best known as the guitarist and a co-founder of The Rolling Stones. As a principal songwriter for the band, he helped shape its sound and catalogue, collaborating closely with Mick Jagger on many of its best-known songs. Richards is also recognized for his distinctive guitar style and long-running presence in rock music. In 2010 he published the memoir *Life*, which recounts his early years, the formation and rise of The Rolling Stones, and his experiences on the road and in the studio. He remains an influential figure in popular music.
