Kevin James

Kevin James (born Kevin George Knipfing on April 26, 1965) is an American actor and comedian. He rose to prominence as Doug Heffernan on the CBS sitcom *The King of Queens* (1998–2007), earning a Primetime Emmy Award nomination. James also co-wrote and starred in the comedy film *Paul Blart: Mall Cop* (2009) and appeared in features including *Hitch* (2005), *I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry* (2007), *Grown Ups* (2010), and *Here Comes the Boom* (2012). He later headlined the sitcom *Kevin Can Wait* (2016–2018) and has released stand-up comedy specials.
