Kyra Sedgwick

Kyra Sedgwick (born August 19, 1965) is an American actress and producer. She is best known for starring as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson in the television crime drama *The Closer* (2005–2012), a role that brought her wide recognition and major awards attention. Sedgwick has also appeared in numerous films, including *Singles* (1992), *Heart and Souls* (1993), and *Something to Talk About* (1995). In addition to acting, she has worked as a producer on screen projects. Though not primarily an author, she is sometimes credited in published interviews and media-related books.
