Lana Parrilla

Lana Parrilla (born July 15, 1977) is an American actress. She is best known for playing Regina Mills/The Evil Queen on the ABC fantasy series *Once Upon a Time* (2011–2018). Parrilla also starred as Angie Ordonez in the crime drama *Swingtown* (2008) and as Rita in the sitcom *Spin City* (2000–2001). Her film work includes *Very Mean Men* (2000) and *Spiders* (2000). Born in Brooklyn, New York, she is the daughter of former professional baseball player Sam Parrilla. Parrilla has received award recognition for her work on *Once Upon a Time*, including an ALMA Award.
