Laurell K. Hamilton

Laurell K. Hamilton is an American author known for urban fantasy and paranormal romance. She is best known for two long-running series: *Anita Blake: Vampire Hunter* and *Merry Gentry*. Her debut novel, *Guilty Pleasures* (1993), introduced Anita Blake, a vampire hunter and animator in a supernatural St. Louis. Hamilton later launched the *Merry Gentry* series with *A Kiss of Shadows* (2000), featuring a faerie princess and private investigator. Her books blend mystery, horror, and romance and have appeared on *The New York Times* bestseller list. She was born in 1963 and lives in the United States.
