Lee Greenwood

Lee Greenwood (born October 27, 1942) is an American country music singer-songwriter. Born in South Gate, California, he began performing professionally as a teenager and later worked in Las Vegas before pursuing a recording career in Nashville. Greenwood achieved major success in the 1980s, scoring multiple country hits and earning industry recognition, including Grammy Awards. He is best known for the patriotic anthem “God Bless the U.S.A.,” first released in 1984, which has been widely associated with American national pride and has reemerged in popularity during periods of national crisis. Over his career, Greenwood has released numerous albums and remained a prominent figure in country music.
