Lee Iacocca

Lido Anthony “Lee” Iacocca (1924–2019) was an American automobile executive and author. Born in Allentown, Pennsylvania, he joined the Ford Motor Company in 1946 and rose to become president of Ford in 1970. He is widely associated with the development and marketing of the Ford Mustang. In 1978 he became president of Chrysler Corporation, later serving as chairman and CEO, and is credited with helping lead the company’s turnaround in the 1980s. Iacocca co-wrote the bestselling autobiography *Iacocca: An Autobiography* (1984) and later published *Talking Straight* (1988).
