Leonard Maltin

Leonard Maltin (born December 18, 1950) is an American film critic, historian, and author. He is best known for creating and editing *Leonard Maltin’s Movie Guide* and *Leonard Maltin’s Movie and Video Guide*, widely used reference works for film and home video. Maltin has also been a prominent on-air commentator and host, including work on the television series *Entertainment Tonight*. He has written numerous books on film and animation and is recognized for his expertise on classic Hollywood and Disney history. Maltin has taught film-related courses and has appeared frequently in documentaries and media discussions about cinema.
