Lizz Winstead
Lizz Winstead was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1961 and raised in a conservative Catholic family in Minneapolis. She started doing standup comedy in 1983 and quickly become a headlining comedian, touring nationwide and appearing on Comedy Central. Winstead was the co-creator of The Daily Show and served as the show’s head writer until a falling-out with then-host, Craig Kilborn. Winstead is also the founder of Air America Radio and has been a contributing blogger at The Huffington Post since 2005. In 2012, Winstead published her first book, Lizz Free or Die.
