Lou Holtz

Lou Holtz (Louis Leo Holtz, born January 6, 1937) is an American football coach, television sportscaster, and author. He served as head coach at several NCAA programs, including William & Mary, North Carolina State, Arkansas, Minnesota, and Notre Dame, and also coached the NFL’s New York Jets. Holtz led Notre Dame to the 1988 national championship and won multiple conference titles during his college career. After coaching, he became a prominent analyst on ESPN, appearing on *College GameDay*. Known for motivational speaking, he has written books on leadership and personal development and remains a widely recognized voice in college football.
