Louie Anderson

Louie Anderson (1953–2022) was an American stand-up comedian, actor, and author. Born in Saint Paul, Minnesota, he built a career in comedy that led to television and voice work. Anderson created and starred in the animated series *Life with Louie*, based on his childhood, and voiced the title character. He later earned critical acclaim for playing Christine Baskets in the FX series *Baskets*, a performance that won him a Primetime Emmy Award. Anderson also appeared in films and on numerous TV programs and released comedy recordings. He died in 2022.
