Louie Schwartzberg

Louie Schwartzberg (born 1954) is an American filmmaker, director, and cinematographer best known for visually immersive nature documentaries that use time-lapse, slow motion, and macro photography. He founded the stock footage company Stockfootage.com and has spent decades filming natural processes that unfold beyond ordinary human perception. Schwartzberg directed *Wings of Life* (2011), a film about pollinators and the interdependence of ecosystems, and *Fantastic Fungi* (2019), which explores the ecological roles and cultural significance of mushrooms. His work has been featured in films, television, and large-format presentations, and he has delivered widely viewed talks on nature, gratitude, and perspective.
