Malcolm Forbes

Malcolm Stevenson Forbes (1919–1990) was an American publisher and entrepreneur who led *Forbes* magazine for decades. He joined the family business founded by his father, B. C. Forbes, and became editor-in-chief in 1945. Forbes later served as president and guided the magazine’s growth and influence in business journalism. Known for his energetic promotion of capitalism and entrepreneurship, he also pursued high-profile personal interests, including collecting art and traveling widely. Under his leadership, *Forbes* expanded its reach and became closely associated with rankings and reporting on wealth and industry. He died in 1990.
