Margaret Truman Daniel (1924–2008) was an American singer, radio personality, and author, and the only child of U.S. President Harry S. Truman and Bess Truman. Trained as a classical vocalist, she performed professionally and became a familiar voice on radio and television. She later turned to writing, producing biographies and works of history, including a well-known book about her parents. Truman Daniel achieved wide popularity as the name behind the long-running “Capital Crimes” mystery series set in Washington, D.C.
