Mario Cuomo

Mario Cuomo (1932–2015) was an American politician and author who served three terms as Governor of New York from 1983 to 1994. A prominent Democrat, he gained national attention for his eloquent public addresses, including his keynote speech at the 1984 Democratic National Convention. Cuomo was known for combining policy arguments with moral and literary references, and he became widely regarded as one of his era’s most gifted political speakers.
