Mark Burnett

Mark Burnett (born 1960) is a British television producer known for developing and producing major reality television franchises. Born in London, England, he later moved to the United States and built a career in unscripted entertainment. Burnett is closely associated with the U.S. version of *Survivor*, which became a long-running ratings success, and with *The Apprentice*, a business-competition series. He also helped bring *Shark Tank* to American television as an executive producer. Across these projects, Burnett has been credited with shaping modern competition-based reality TV through high-stakes formats, elimination structures, and strong branding.
