Mark Forsyth

Mark Forsyth (born 1977) is a British author, journalist, and blogger best known for witty, accessible books about language, word history, and usage. He gained a wide readership with *The Etymologicon* (2011), a playful tour through English etymology and unexpected connections between words. He followed it with *The Horologicon* (2012), which explores rarely used English terms for everyday situations.
