Mark Pincus

Mark Pincus (born 1966) is an American internet entrepreneur best known as the founder of Zynga, the social game company behind titles such as *FarmVille*. He founded Zynga in 2007 and served as its chief executive officer for multiple periods, including during the company’s 2011 initial public offering. Pincus studied at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and later earned an MBA from Harvard Business School. Before Zynga, he founded or co-founded several startups, including FreeLoader and Tribe.net, and worked in venture capital. He is also known for philanthropic giving, including donations supporting education and social causes.
