Mark Warner

Mark Warner (born December 15, 1954) is an American politician and businessman from Virginia. A member of the Democratic Party, he served as the 69th Governor of Virginia from 2002 to 2006. Warner was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2008 and has represented Virginia since 2009. In the Senate, he has served on major committees including Intelligence, Finance, and Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs. Before holding statewide office, Warner worked in telecommunications and co-founded the firm that became Columbia Capital. He earned a B.A. from George Washington University and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
