Marty Allen

Marty Allen (March 23, 1922–February 12, 2013) was an American comedian and actor best known as one half of the comedy team Allen & Rossi. With his trademark wide-eyed look and the catchphrase “Hello Dere!”, he became a familiar presence on American television and in live performance. Allen and partner Steve Rossi gained national attention in the late 1950s and 1960s, appearing on major variety and talk shows and headlining in clubs and theaters. Allen also worked as a solo performer and made acting appearances in film and television. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and died in Las Vegas, Nevada.
