Matthew Macfadyen

David Matthew Macfadyen (born 17 October 1974) is an English actor. He is known for playing Tom Wambsgans in HBO’s drama series *Succession* (2018–2023), a role that earned him the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. Macfadyen also portrayed Mr. Darcy in Joe Wright’s 2005 film adaptation of *Pride & Prejudice*. On British television, he starred as Detective Inspector Tom Quinn in the BBC spy series *Spooks* (2002–2004). He trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) and has worked extensively in film, television, and theatre.
