Meghan O'Rourke

Meghan O’Rourke (born 1976) is an American poet, essayist, and editor. She has worked as a culture editor at *Slate* and as an editor at *The New Yorker*. O’Rourke is the author of the memoir *The Long Goodbye*, which reflects on grief and loss, and *The Invisible Kingdom*, a book about chronic illness and the search for diagnosis and care. Across her writing, she is known for blending personal experience with cultural and intellectual inquiry.
