Melanie Brown

Melanie Janine Brown (born 29 May 1975), known professionally as Mel B, is an English singer, songwriter, dancer, actress, and television personality. She rose to international fame in the 1990s as a member of the Spice Girls, where she was nicknamed “Scary Spice.” With the group, she achieved multiple UK and global number-one singles and became one of the best-selling girl groups of all time. Brown has also released solo music, including the album *Hot* (2000). Her screen work includes film and television appearances, and she has been a judge on talent competitions such as *The X Factor* and *America’s Got Talent*.
