Mindy Kaling

Mindy Kaling (born Vera Mindy Chokalingam) is an American actress, comedian, writer, producer, and director. She first gained wide recognition as a writer and performer on the NBC sitcom *The Office*, where she also portrayed Kelly Kapoor. Kaling later created and starred in the Fox/Hulu comedy series *The Mindy Project*, serving as its executive producer and a principal writer. She also co-created the Netflix coming-of-age series *Never Have I Ever* and served as an executive producer and writer. In addition to television, she has appeared in films and has written memoirs, including *Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns)*.
