Mitch Resnick

Mitchel (Mitch) Resnick is an American computer scientist and educator at the MIT Media Lab. He is a professor of learning research and leads the Lifelong Kindergarten group, which develops technologies and activities that support creative learning. Resnick is the creator of Scratch, a block-based programming language and online community designed to help young people learn to code by making interactive stories, games, and animations. His work focuses on how people learn through designing, experimenting, and collaborating.
