Molly Shannon

Molly Shannon (born 1964) is an American actress, comedian, and writer. She became widely known as a cast member on NBC’s *Saturday Night Live*, where she performed from 1995 to 2001 and created memorable characters such as Mary Katherine Gallagher. Shannon has also built a substantial film and television career, appearing in movies including *Superstar* (1999) and *Other People* (2016), and in series such as *Will & Grace* and *The White Lotus*. She has received Emmy nominations for her work, including for *SNL*. Shannon is also the author of the memoir *Hello, Molly!* (2022).
