Morris Joseph

Morris Joseph (1848–1930) was a British Reform (Liberal) Jewish rabbi and author. He served as minister of the West London Synagogue, a leading congregation in Britain’s Reform Jewish tradition. Joseph wrote on Jewish belief and practice for a broad English-speaking readership, aiming to present Judaism as a living religious and ethical system. He is known in particular for *Judaism as Creed and Life*, a work that sets out core ideas of Jewish faith and conduct in an accessible form. Through his ministry and writing, he became a prominent voice in modern British Jewish religious life.
