Natalie Jeremijenko

Natalie Jeremijenko (born 1966) is an Australian-born artist and engineer whose work combines technology, ecology, and social practice through interactive installations and public interventions. She is known for projects that reframe environmental issues as matters of public health and civic participation, including the Environmental Health Clinic, which invites people to “prescribe” actions that improve local ecosystems. Jeremijenko has held academic appointments in the United States, including at New York University, where she founded and directed the Environmental Health Clinic and led the xDesign program. Her practice spans art, design, and engineering, often using sensors, networks, and participatory experiments to make environmental conditions visible and actionable.
