Navjot Singh Sidhu

Navjot Singh Sidhu (born 20 October 1963) is an Indian former international cricketer, television personality, and politician. A right-handed opening batsman, he represented India in Test and One Day International cricket from the 1980s into the 1990s, later becoming widely known for his energetic Punjabi-language commentary and distinctive public speaking. After retiring from top-level cricket, Sidhu became a prominent figure on Indian television, including as a judge on popular comedy and entertainment programs. He entered electoral politics and has been associated with the Indian National Congress, serving as a minister in the Punjab government.
