Neil Gaiman

Neil Gaiman (born 1960) is an English author of novels, comics, and short fiction. He first gained wide recognition for *The Sandman*, an influential comic-book series blending mythology, horror, and fantasy. His fiction for adults includes *American Gods*, which won major genre awards, and he has also written acclaimed children’s books such as *Coraline*. Gaiman frequently reimagines folklore and classic stories in contemporary settings, with a style noted for wit, dark wonder, and lyrical clarity. He co-wrote the comic novel *Good Omens* with Terry Pratchett. His work spans prose, graphic storytelling, and screen adaptations.
