Neil Harbisson

Neil Harbisson (born 1982) is a British-Spanish contemporary artist and cyborg activist. Born with achromatopsia, he is known for the “eyeborg,” an antenna that allows him to perceive color through sound. His work explores the extension of human senses through technology and the cultural implications of merging body and device. Harbisson has presented his ideas internationally through talks and public appearances, advocating for recognition of cyborg identity and the rights of people who integrate technology into their bodies. He is a co-founder of the Cyborg Foundation, an organization that promotes the use of cybernetics to expand human perception.
