Norm Crosby

Norm Crosby (1933–2020) was an American stand-up comedian and actor best known for a style built around malapropisms—humorously misused words delivered with a straight face. Rising in the nightclub circuit, he became a familiar presence on television, making frequent appearances on variety programs and game shows. Crosby also acted in film and TV roles and was a regular guest on talk and entertainment shows, where his verbal mix-ups became his signature. His long career made him a recognizable figure in mid-to-late 20th-century American comedy, and he remained associated with wordplay-driven stand-up until his death in 2020.
