Orestes Ferrara

Orestes Ferrara y Marino (1876–1972) was an Italian-born Cuban diplomat, politician, and writer. Born in Italy, he later became a prominent public figure in Cuba, where he pursued a career in government and international affairs. Ferrara served as President of the Cuban House of Representatives, a leading role in the nation’s legislative branch. He also held executive responsibility as Cuba’s Secretary of State (Foreign Minister), representing Cuban interests in foreign relations. In addition to his political and diplomatic work, he was active as a writer, contributing to Cuba’s intellectual and public life.
