Picasso, a Spanish cubist artist, is among the most influential artists of the 20th century. Picasso showed a talent for drawing and painting at a young age, creating realistic artworks under the tutelage of his father. Upon moving from Spain to Paris at around the turn of the century, he began experimenting with different styles of art, developing his trademark Cubist style in the second decade of the 20th century, but continuing to experiment and develop his artistic style for the rest of his life. Picasso was a fixture in Paris’s artistic community of the day, which also included Gertrude Stein and Henri Matisse. Picasso married twice but was infamous for his many affairs.
