Pam Warhurst

Pam Warhurst (born 1950) is a British community activist and co-founder of Incredible Edible Todmorden, a community initiative launched in Todmorden, West Yorkshire, that promotes local food growing in public spaces. She is known for advocating practical, place-based approaches to civic engagement, encouraging residents, businesses, and local institutions to collaborate around food, sustainability, and community wellbeing. Warhurst has spoken widely about the “Incredible Edible” model and its emphasis on visible action, shared responsibility, and local pride. Through her talks and writing, she has helped popularize community-led food projects and inspired similar initiatives in other towns and countries.
